Sângerei or Sîngerei? This has long been a spelling dilemma, a debate between generations, and a historical reality of our place. When we created the visual identity for Sângerei.online, we didn't want to pick a side. We chose to represent the truth: we are the same community, regardless of the angle you look at us from.
A linguistic story

The district's name has seen both spellings over time — and the debate goes on. That's why the letter at the heart of the logo never stands still: it morphs continuously between  and Î, honouring both the current spelling Sângerei and the historic form Sîngerei.

Sângerei — the current spelling
Since 1993, the Romanian Academy has reinstated  from A in words of Latin origin. That is how the name appears in official documents and on the administrative map: Raionul Sângerei.

Sîngerei — the historic form
Between 1953 and 1993, Romanian used Î from I almost everywhere. Many locals still write Sîngerei today — that's how they learned it at school, and that's how it stayed in the books at home.
The logo doesn't pick a side. It honours both — the letter keeps transforming, just like our community does.

2. The Căciulă
The symbol that unites us
Above the letter, the element that always remains fixed, unwavering, is the stylized Căciulă (traditional hat).
In a rapidly changing digital world, the căciulă represents our roots. It is the symbol of the homesteader, of tradition and authenticity. It reminds us that, although we are ".online", our feet are firmly planted in our ancestral land.
3. The Digital Pulse

If the top of the logo speaks about history, the bottom speaks about the future.
The .online extension is minimalist, and the pulsing dot is not just a punctuation mark. It is a "LIVE" status indicator. It suggests that the platform is alive, connected 24/7 to the pulse of the district, transmitting information in real time from the heart of Sângerei to every screen.
